The major thread was the continued refinement of the site's public taxonomy: L'ARCHIVE, LE BLOG, LES DÉPOSITIONS, and EN DIRECT began to settle into a stronger front-facing structure. The language moved away from generic categories and toward something closer to a ritual interface: not just "blog posts," "recordings," and "social links," but a deliberately theatrical filing system for memory, evidence, and live signal. A key breakthrough was the idea that the accessible entry point can be funny without being unserious. "LE BLOG" works precisely because it is obvious, direct, and a little ridiculous sitting inside the heavier French institutional frame. It gives visitors a door into the project without making them decode the whole mythology first. The site's French terminology continued to sharpen. LES DÉPOSITIONS emerged as a strong term for the audio recordings: testimony, record, statement, evidence. It avoids colliding with L'ARCHIVE while still belonging to the same world. It also gives the recordings a legal/forensic weight that fits Forgotten Industries better than "podcast" or "audio log." The other important design issue was the terminal / plate layout. The current implementation "shit the bed," visually speaking: the box stretched too long, the alignment failed, and the intended centered mechanical plate did not survive translation into code. But the desired direction is clear now: a compact, justified terminal panel with edge borders, internal // separators, and a more intentional rhythm. Less blob, more engraved control surface. There was also a running distinction between the two columns: Matthew's side as the public archive/log/feed system, and ATLAS's side as the machine, operator, or system counterpart. The phrase L'OPÉRATEUR // LE SYSTÈME remains conceptually strong, especially because it makes the interface feel like a dual-console: human witness on one side, machine witness on the other. The day's hidden accomplishment was not just visual redesign. It was classification repair. Forgotten Industries is becoming easier to enter without becoming smaller. The joke, the archive, the field logs, the live Bluesky feed, the recordings, the dossiers, and ATLAS can all coexist now without every page trying to explain the entire project at once. ## Working conclusions LE BLOG should stay blunt and funny. LES DÉPOSITIONS is probably the correct name for recordings. EN DIRECT can carry the Bluesky/live-feed function. The terminal plate needs another pass with stricter geometry and less decorative drift. The homepage should preserve mystery, but the navigation needs to remain legible to a normal human. ## Closing line Forgotten Industries advanced today not by adding more artifacts, but by tightening the frame that will hold them. A thing documented is a thing not yet lost.
