In the first panel a smiling bald figure holds a forehead thermometer to his temple; in the second the device's screen is read in close-up from bed, its display reading as reassurance rather than a number. A header line completes the joke about checking one's temperature. The thermometer's readout ends in a racial slur; it is recorded here by description rather than transcribed, and remains legible in the image. As with FI-EPH-011 the caption sits over drawn figures rather than a photographed person, and no identifiable individual is depicted.
