What is known

Found image supplied for The Shadow Zone: a screenshot of the DALL·E mini web interface, with the prompt "gender reveal 9/11" entered beside an orange Run button. The nine-image grid shows smeared AI renderings of twin towers with plumes of pink and blue smoke, some with small figures and flags in the foreground. The prompt deliberately collides the 2001 attacks with party culture; it is reproduced as found and not endorsed. Maker, origin, and date are not recorded. The exif scrub reported no location metadata to strip.

The Shadow Zone

A holding zone for surreal found media and uncanny artifacts that surface around the archive — images with no clear origin, kept as evidence of the culture that accretes on forgotten machines.
