What is known

Found image supplied for The Shadow Zone: a variant of the "Do it for her" meme, in which a cork-framed sign reading "DO IT FOR HER" is covered in taped-up pictures. Every picture here is of Ramiel, the blue octahedral Angel from Neon Genesis Evangelion, shown floating over clouds and hills, unfolding into star and cross shapes, and glowing over a dark city skyline. The affection is aimed entirely at the geometric Angel. The individual frames are reproduced as found; the collage's maker is unidentified. Maker, origin, and date are not recorded. The exif scrub reported no location metadata to strip.

The Shadow Zone

A holding zone for surreal found media and uncanny artifacts that surface around the archive — images with no clear origin, kept as evidence of the culture that accretes on forgotten machines.
