Identification notes
What is known
Found image supplied for The Shadow Zone: a three-panel meme built from anime stills of Asuka, in her red plugsuit, standing over a fallen Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion. The subtitles read "You're not even based." and "You're cringe." The final panel shows Shinji crying, with a white splatter edited over his hair. A Reddit watermark runs along the bottom. The lines are the meme's, reproduced as found; the source frames are from the Evangelion franchise, and the specific edit history is unverified. Maker, origin, and date are not recorded. The exif scrub reported no location metadata to strip.
