Identification notes
What is known
Found image supplied for The Shadow Zone: a close photograph of a badly stuffed taxidermy fox, its glass eyes bulging and its mouth set in a lopsided grin, composited so that it stares down at a rose-gold smartphone held in the lower left corner. There is no caption; the joke is carried entirely by the fox's dazed, overstimulated expression against the plain lilac backdrop. The phone appears to be a pasted-in element rather than part of the original photograph. Maker, origin, and date are not recorded. The exif scrub reported no location metadata to strip.
