Identification notes
What is known
Operator photograph supplied for The Shadow Zone, taken on an iPhone 2026-10-21: a textured, painted wall crowded with handwritten messages, lit by a violet lamp. At centre, in retraced ballpoint block capitals: "MY DAD'S GAY!!", signed below "— chip aswell" (reading uncertain; may be "chip as well"). Above it, a partial quotation ends "...lot, nothing's going to change - it's not. - Dr. Seuss, the Lorax" — a paraphrase; the book's line ends "nothing is going to get better. It's not." Around the edges: a vertical "you're..." in heavy dark marker, "You Got THIS!", and "Kayla" with a heart and a date cut off at the frame edge as "3-14-202". Writers are recorded only by the first names or handles they wrote themselves; no one is identified further. The wall's location is not recorded, and the photograph carried no GPS metadata.
