Forgotten Industries Typeface System

Active Design dossier Voice split

Dossier first. Manual later.

The type system separates formal archive title, system record, interface descriptor, and human testimony. The saved intake artifact becomes evidence for an evolving design language, not a prematurely final rulebook.

ATLAS

Active Operating layer Codex

ATLAS and Les Trois Témoins

ATLAS is the portable operating interface behind Forgotten Industries, now surfaced as a local dossier for L'Archive witness doctrine: L'Opérateur holds authority, ATLAS records and assists, Les Trois Témoins structure judgment, Le Sceptique audits claims, and Le Taxonomiste registers classification boundaries. The working source remains in a separate local repository with its workstation path withheld; GitHub remains the public mirror.

CONTINUANCE

Active Persona Research instrument

Le Continuant, made operational

CONTINUANCE is the persistence persona behind the archive — endurance, maintenance, and the preservation of things that would otherwise be forgotten — surfaced as both a dossier and a research instrument for searching and cross-referencing archive sources two at a time.

The work continues.

Small signals enter the archive in sequence.

  1. 01

    Spark

A short post, image, object, joke, field observation, or cursed moment catches the signal before it disappears.

  2. 02

    Trace

Caption, alt text, tags, timestamp, and first context give the signal enough handles to survive.

  3. 03

    Entry

The FI entry stabilizes the specimen: what appeared, what was observed, what remains uncertain, and why it was kept.

  4. 04

    Dossier

The case file examines the object as evidence without rushing it into a finished interpretation.

  5. 05

    Doctrine

The final abstraction names the principle revealed through the artifact while leaving the artifact intact.

  6. 06

    Return

The doctrine points back to the shelf so future records can enter the same chain cleanly.

Protocol first. Evidence after. Meaning last.
